What fitted cabinet work improves

Less visual clutter

We hide cables, equipment and everyday storage behind a cleaner fitted layout.

Better use of dead space

Alcoves, under-stairs areas and awkward walls become genuinely useful storage.

A unit that suits the room

We plan depth, proportions and finish so the joinery sits naturally indoors.

Fitted storage that clears clutter without wasting wall space

When a room has cables on show, shelves doing nothing useful or alcoves that never quite work, a fitted unit can tidy the whole space up in one go. We build media walls in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire alongside alcove cabinets, shelving, under-stairs storage, hallway units, garage shelving, desks and other bespoke fitted joinery. The key is planning around what needs to live there. That could mean a television, speakers, equipment, books, display items or the daily jumble that tends to collect by the door. We measure the wall and the items going into the unit so the storage works practically and the proportions feel right in the room instead of bulky or underdone.

Planned with cables, clearances and room details in mind

A neat fitted unit depends on more than the outer shape. We think about cable routes, ventilation, access panels, shelf spans, cabinet depth, door and drawer clearance and how the joinery sits with sockets, skirting and surrounding trim. We can also tie the unit into wall panelling, Shaker details or other timber features so it feels like part of the room rather than a large box planted against the wall. The result is storage that hides what should be hidden, displays what you want seen and makes underused space work much harder.

Frequently asked questions

Can you build a media wall around existing equipment?

Yes. We can plan the unit around televisions, speakers, consoles and other equipment already in use. That means allowing for cable routes, ventilation and access from the start, so the finished joinery looks neat without making the equipment awkward to reach or upgrade.

Are media walls only useful for televisions?

Not at all. A fitted wall can combine display shelving, closed cupboards, book storage and feature panelling as well as housing a screen. The best design depends on how you use the room, which is why we plan the storage balance before fixing the final layout.

Can you make fitted storage for under-stairs or hallways too?

Yes. Under-stairs cupboards, drawers, hallway storage and home office cabinetry are often some of the most worthwhile joinery jobs because they turn overlooked parts of the house into practical everyday space. We measure those awkward spots carefully so the storage fits cleanly.
